The children at Malin Bridge Primary School l have been using Rainbow Talk to generate writing about the Great Fire of London. Their teacher used the smell of smoke and a video of a crackling log fire as stimuli to enable the children to engage with the topic. They Rainbow Talked the scene and collected the most evocative vocabulary and imagery to enable them to write with real empathy. And this was all done via Zoom lessons - Rainbow Talk works even then! Here is one young man who kindly agreed to allow us to post this video of himself performing a dramatic reading of his work – a tremendous job! Thank you too to the parents, the school and the class teacher for sharing and giving their permissions.
